Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Front of House Manager/Bartender to lead our hospitality team and deliver exceptional customer service at a busy golf course. This role combines supervisory responsibilities with bartending duties, ensuring smooth operations and a welcoming environment for our guests. Candidates with restaurant management, food industry, or hotel experience, along with strong leadership skills, are encouraged to apply. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, food service, and creating memorable guest experiences.

Responsibilities

Oversee daily front-of-house operations, including managing staff schedules and ensuring efficient service flow
Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including cocktails, beer, and wine, maintaining high standards of quality and presentation
Supervise food preparation and ensure adherence to food safety and handling protocols
Manage POS system for accurate cash handling and transaction processing
Lead, train, and motivate team members in customer service excellence and hospitality standards
Handle customer inquiries, resolve complaints promptly, and ensure guest satisfaction
Assist with interviewing and onboarding new staff members
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area and dining space in compliance with health regulations
Monitor inventory levels of beverages and supplies; place orders as needed
Uphold food safety standards and ensure all team members follow proper procedures

Skills

Proven experience in food service, restaurant management, or hospitality roles such as hotel or barista experience
Strong leadership skills with supervising or team management experience
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle difficult situations professionally
Proficiency in POS systems like Micros POS; cash handling experience required
Knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety regulations
Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Effective communication skills for interviewing staff and coordinating team efforts
Experience in food handling, serving, and hospitality industry standards
Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate staff and foster a positive work environment
