Shift work - 2 weeks on - 1 week off - Camp work

Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently operate boom trucks and related lifting equipment.
- Perform lifting operations in accordance with load charts, manufacturer specifications, and safe operating procedures.
- Load and unload materials and equipment using rigging and lifting devices.
- Properly set up boom truck equipment, including outriggers and assessment of ground stability, prior to lifting.
- Ensure loads are properly rigged, balanced, secured, flagged, signed, and lighted as required.
- Transport equipment and materials safely between customer and job sites.
- Perform daily pre-trip/post-trip inspections and monitor vehicle, hydraulic, and lifting systems.
- Identify and report mechanical issues, equipment concerns, incidents, and hazardous conditions.
- Follow assigned schedules, routes, dispatch instructions, and customer requirements.
- Communicate with Dispatch and Supervisors regarding job requirements, progress, and completion.
- Maintain safe operation and security of loads and equipment before, during, and after lifting and transportation.
- Provide professional and reliable service while working directly with customers.
Qualified applicants:
- Possess a valid Class 1 Driver’s Licence
- Clean driver’s abstract
- Journeyman boom truck certificate
- Have experience in oilfield hauling and operating 45 ton - 65 ton pickers
- Be certified in First Aid & H2S
- Be certified in ODA or equivalent for defensive driving (preferred, but will train)
- Be certified in Hours of Service and Fatigue Management (preferred, but will train)
- Works well with others
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to express a positive attitude in stressful situations / handle stress effectively and constructively.
