Applications are invited for the position of:

Communications Coordinator for Wolf Creek Public Schools

Join Wolf Creek Public Schools as our Communications Coordinator. You will lead the planning and execution of a strategic communications program designed to foster trust, understanding, and community support for public education.

Primary Focus:

Reporting to the Superintendent, you will collaborate with leadership and school staff to manage internal and external relations, profile division success stories, and provide expert guidance during crisis situations.

Assignment Details:

Full-time temporary replacement position
Duties to commence as soon as possible or as agreed upon with the successful candidate and will continue until February 28, 2027 with the possibility of extension
Twelve month employee
$70,000 - $80,000 annual
Comprehensive Benefit Package

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and evaluate comprehensive media and marketing strategies.
Coordinate news releases, interviews, and promotional content (video/print).
Manage division social media channels and website updates.
Advise the Board and Leadership Team on communication opportunities and crisis response.
Facilitate public engagement and community consultation activities.

Candidate Qualifications:

Degree/Diploma in Journalism, Marketing, or Public Relations.
Post-secondary degree/diploma in journalism, marketing, communications or public relations.
Superior written and oral communication skills, with the ability to relate to varied audiences.
Directly related experience and sound knowledge of mass media including social media.
Strong project management, leadership, photography and video production/editing skills.
Has demonstrated a lifelong commitment to ongoing professional development.
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and web based desktop publishing applications to create content for online publications, with strong graphic design skills.
Within areas of responsibility, demonstrates effective organizational skills resulting in compliance with all legal and board mandates and timelines and adherence to Superintendent directives.
