Full job description

Structural / Architectural Drafting Technologist

We are a Consulting Engineering firm seeking a Structural / Architectural Drafting Technologist to join our team. The successful candidate will support the production of detailed construction drawings for a variety of building and structural projects while working closely with engineers, architects, and other consultants.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare structural and architectural drawings for buildings and related structures
Develop and update drawings and specifications for construction documentation
Work collaboratively with engineers, architects, and external consultants under the guidance of senior project managers
Interpret architectural and structural drawings efficiently and accurately
Assist with coordination of drawing revisions and project documentation
Occasional general office and project support duties as required

Requirements

Technical Diploma in Architectural Technology, Civil Engineering Technology, Construction Engineering Technician, or a related field
Minimum 5 years of drafting experience in structural and/or architectural projects
Strong proficiency in AutoCAD
Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings quickly and accurately
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
Strong communication skills (written and verbal) and ability to work professionally with clients and consultants
