We are seeking a highly motivated, energetic self-starter who enjoys working in a fast paced manufacturing environment. The primary responsibilities of the Sr. HR Generalist is to manage full cycle high volume recruitment of hourly/salary positions, responsible for Windsor plant safety, be a key business partner to Operations, leading employee engagement activities, attendance and performance tracking, administering leaves of absence, team member and management relations. The successful candidate will have at least 5 years of progressive experience in an HR capacity, proven track record of hiring success, a professional demeanor with a sense of urgency and "can-do" attitude, and the ability to interact with all levels of management. This position requires a high level of confidentiality. Primarily day shift hours but may be required to come in on off shifts as required. This position reports to the VP, Human Resources.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- High volume recruitment of Hourly and Salary Team Members
- Manage onboarding & new hire orientations
- Retention/Turnover Metric Tracking
- Hourly Attendance & Performance Management Tracking
- Team Member/Management Relations
- Employee Engagement Leader – Managing HR/Safety Bulletin Boards and communications
- Support plant with continuous improvement activities
- Lead local Manufacturing Day efforts
- Represent management on the Health & Safety Committee
- Administer and coordinate all leaves of absence
- Manage local service award program
- Assist and conduct training as required or outlines and maintain records
- Administer company policies and procedures
- Stay current on all HR and employment law professional and technical knowledge
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements/Qualifications:
- Human Resources Bachelors Degree or related field and/or CHRP certification designation preferred
- 5+ years of previous HR experience in a progressive role
- Proven track record of high level recruitment
- Certified in Part I & II Safety
- Previous experience using an HRIS platform; DayForce is a plus
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Exemplary communication skills - oral and written
- Excellent negotiation and conflict resolution skills
- Proven track record of excellent customer service skills
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask
- Strong work ethic with a "Can-do" attitude
- High degree of professionalism and confidentiality
