In anticipation of expanding our operating hours, we are looking to hire several new employees to help with our growing business.
Details
We are seeking part-time (12-18 hours per week) Dishwashers to join our team. This role will work onsite at our location at 692 St. Anne’s Road. The role requires part-time availability for Day shifts (Monday-Sunday), and some Evening shifts (Thursday-Saturday). The Day shiftworking hours are expected to be from early mornings to late afternoons.
Key responsibilities include maintaining the cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of the location’s back-of-house. This includes washing dishes, cookware, utensils, and performing other cleaning tasks such as trash removal, floor mopping, and bathroom cleaning. The role will also be responsible for clearing and cleaning tables, in addition to supporting kitchen staff and ensuring all areas of the business are clean and organized. The role will work with a team of cooks, bakers, and baristas.
Responsibilities:
- Wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes, glassware, and cutlery by hand or using a commercial dishwasher.
- Maintain a clean and orderly back-of-house environment. This includes sweeping and mopping floors, wiping down worktables, and cleaning equipment like ovens and refrigerators.
- Correctly sort, stack, and store clean dishes, utensils, and equipment in their designated areas.
- Maintain the cleanliness of the dishwashing area, floors, and overall kitchen. This includes cleaning up spills and sanitizing cooking and food prep stations.
- Empty trash cans and recycling bins throughout the shift and at the end of the day, including breaking down cardboard, and cleaning garbage cans.
- Help with receiving and storing food deliveries and keeping storage areas organized and clean.
- Exemplify The Forge’s philosophy of humility and a friendly attitude at all times.
Qualifications:
- Strong work ethic, commitment, and dedication.
- Multitasking and organizational skills.
- Effective interpersonal skills to coordinate with the back-of-house team.
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods, and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Reliable and punctual for start times.
- A positive attitude, the ability to take direction and follow instructions, and work consistently and efficiently as part of a team.
Compensation:
Starting hourly wage is between $16.00-16.50 per hour. The Forge has a no tipping policy.
