In this role, you will travel province wide while supporting diverse communities and expanding your skills with every assignment. This role is ideal for pharmacists who enjoy travel, variety, and stepping outside their everyday routine, where no two days are the same! Experience Saskatchewan’s wide-open prairies, more than 100,000 lakes and rivers, and strong, close-knit communities while travelling the province as a Provincial Relief Pharmacist, bringing care where it’s needed most across both vibrant cities and rural and remote communities.
Patient Focused Care Responsibilities:
- Deliver clinical services such as medication reviews, chronic disease management and care plan development. Administer vaccines and immunizations
- Determine appropriateness of drug therapy and monitor for effectiveness, side effects, and interactions
- Counsel patients on prescriptions, over-the-counter products, and health-related topics, including indications, contraindication, side effects, and proper usage and storage
- Ensure compliance with all federal, provincial, and regulatory standards governing pharmacy practice
- Assist with daily pharmacy operations and perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Licensed and in good standing with the Saskatchewan College of Pharmacist
- Injection certification is required
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to work independently or in a team environment
