Full job description

MultiTech Trades Corp is seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Electrical BIM Modeler to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating precise 3D models of electrical systems using Building Information Modeling (BIM) software. Your expertise will support project planning, design coordination, and construction activities, ensuring seamless integration of electrical systems within complex infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities

Develop accurate 3D electrical BIM models utilizing Revit and AutoCAD
Coordinate with architects, structural engineers and other MEP disciplines to ensure proper integration of systems.
Prepare detailed drawings, layouts and construction documentation from BIM models.
Participate in clash detection and model coordination meetings.
Incorporate electrical wiring layouts, system schematics, and equipment placement into BIM models for construction and fabrication purposes.
Ensure all models comply with NEC (National Electrical Code) standards and project specifications.
Support construction teams by providing detailed layout designs and resolving design conflicts during the modeling process.
Maintain organized documentation of model revisions, drawings, and related project data.

Qualifications

Proven experience as an Electrical BIM modeler using Revit.
Proficiency in Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD for MEP modeling.
Strong understanding of electrical systems including schematics, wiring diagrams, PCB layout design, and system integration.
Understand NEC standards and electrical code compliance requirements.
Experience with BIM coordination and multidisciplinary collaboration.
Familiarity with construction processes involving electrical wiring installation and layout design.
Excellent communication skills to coordinate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
