Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Machine Operator / HVAC Machinery Set-Up Technician to join our manufacturing team in Bradford. The ideal candidate will have experience operating and setting up manufacturing machinery, ensuring production efficiency, maintaining quality standards, and supporting HVAC production processes. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

Operate and monitor manufacturing machinery such as press machines, stamping presses, flexo presses, press brake machines, and HVAC production equipment.
Set up HVAC production machinery according to job specifications and production requirements.
Perform machine setup, adjustments, and changeovers to ensure optimal machine performance and production efficiency.
Troubleshoot mechanical and operational issues on machinery to minimize downtime and maintain workflow.
Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and machine manuals to understand production specifications.
Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers to verify dimensions and maintain quality control.
Perform preventative maintenance including greasing, lubrication, alignment checks, filter changes, and routine inspections.
Conduct routine maintenance and basic mechanical troubleshooting to ensure safe and efficient operation of equipment.
Train new hires on safe machine operation, HVAC manufacturing processes, and proper equipment handling.
Assist in fabrication processes involving HVAC components and ductwork production.
Maintain accurate records of machine performance, maintenance activities, and production issues.
Work collaboratively with supervisors and production team members to improve workflow and maintain a safe work environment.
Follow all company safety policies and maintain a clean and organized work area.
Participate in quality control inspections to ensure all products meet company and customer standards.

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of experience operating metal fabrication or HVAC manufacturing machinery.
Previous experience in HVAC manufacturing, industrial machinery set-up, or HVAC production environments is required.
Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to diagnose and resolve equipment issues.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and machine manuals accurately.
Knowledge of HVAC components, ductwork fabrication, and related production processes.
Proficient with precision measuring tools and basic mechanical troubleshooting.
Comfortable training and supporting new team members.
Physically capable of standing for extended periods, lifting moderate weights, and performing repetitive tasks.
Strong attention to detail with a commitment to workplace safety, quality standards, and continuous improvement
