Position Summary
As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking menu items according to established recipes and standards while maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient workstation. The ideal candidate has previous line cooking experience, strong attention to detail, and a passion for food.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and presentation standards
- Set up and stock stations with necessary ingredients and supplies
- Maintain food quality, consistency, and portion control
- Follow food safety, sanitation, and health regulations
- Work efficiently during high-volume service periods
- Assist with inventory management and stock rotation (FIFO)
- Keep workstations clean and organized throughout each shift
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and management
- Support other kitchen team members as needed
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of line cook experience in a restaurant, hotel, or similar food service environment
- Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, food preparation, and kitchen equipment
- Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Understanding of food safety and sanitation practices
- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs (23 kg)
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
