Job Title: General Production Worker
Job Description
This role supports manufacturing operations by assisting machine operators, performing manual and machine bundling, and ensuring products are properly prepared for shipment. You will work in a production environment, handling physical tasks such as banding, cleaning, shrink wrapping, and strapping materials, while following safety and quality standards.
Responsibilities

Assist machine operators with banding and other production-related tasks to keep the line running efficiently.

Perform manual bundling of products for up to 8 hours per shift, ensuring consistent quality and accuracy.

Operate bundling machinery to bundle materials safely and according to production requirements.

Apply shrink wrap to finished products to protect them during storage and transportation.

Place straps on bundled products and use a machine to tighten straps securely.

Clean up work areas regularly to maintain a safe, organized, and efficient production environment.

Follow manufacturing, assembly, and packaging procedures and guidelines.

Handle windows, doors, and other manufactured products carefully to prevent damage.

Work collaboratively with team members on the production floor to meet daily output and quality targets.

Adhere to all safety policies, including proper use of personal protective equipment and safe lifting techniques.
Essential Skills
-
At least 6 months of experience in a general labor, shop, or warehouse environment.

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the shift.

Experience working in manufacturing, production, assembly, or packaging environments.

Comfort operating or supporting the operation of basic production and bundling machinery.

Strong attention to detail when bundling, strapping, and preparing products.

Ability to follow instructions and standard operating procedures consistently.

Reliability and punctuality to support consistent production schedules.

Steel-toed work boots (required for safety on the production floor).
Additional Skills & Qualifications

Previous experience in general labor roles involving windows, doors, or similar manufactured products.

Experience in machine operation or assisting machine operators in a production setting.

Familiarity with shrink wrapping and strapping equipment.

Work Environment
You will work in a manufacturing and production facility focused on windows, doors, and related products, performing general labor tasks such as assembly, packaging, and machine support. The team consists of approximately 8 operators on the day shift and 7 operators on the night shift, fostering a collaborative and supportive atmosphere. The primary shift runs Monday to Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. with 8-hour shifts, and overtime opportunities may be available. The environment involves standing, lifting up to 50 lbs, and working around production machinery, shrink wrap equipment, and strapping tools. Steel-toed work boots are required as part of the safety-focused dress code. The facility is transit accessible, making commuting easier for team members.

The pay range for this position is $20.40 - $21.00/hr.
