Full job description

MEI is an independent Pre-K-12 school system with approximately 1600 students. All applicants must be dedicated to Christian education. Successful candidates are required to sign an MEI Staff Covenant indicating acceptance of and agreement with MEI Schools' Christian values.

MEI Elementary School is seeking qualified applicants for a School Secretary position with an immediate start date.

Elementary School Secretary

Full-time continuing 5 days/week, approximately 37.5 hours per week

Full benefits package

The wage range is $27.43 to $30.01, plus any approved increase for the 2026-2027 school year.

The Elementary Secretary supports the daily operations of the school office by providing administrative and secretarial support. This role serves as the primary point of contact for visitors and phone calls, maintains accurate student and school records, coordinates attendance tracking, and helps ensure an organized and welcoming office environment.

Ideal Candidate:

Experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Publisher, etc.)
Accurate keyboarding skills
Bookkeeping experience
Event planning experience
Clear, friendly and professional communication skills
Ability to prioritize, problem-solve, and ensure high quality of work with efficient time-management skills
High level of accuracy and attention to detail
Displays confidentiality

This position is a 10-month position that follows the MEI School Calendar with interruptions of work during Christmas, Spring Break and summer holidays.

This position will remain open until filled.
