Job Overview

Join our dynamic retail team as a Retail Sales Associate, where your enthusiasm and customer-focused mindset will drive success! In this energetic role, you’ll be the friendly face guiding customers through their shopping experience, providing expert advice on products, and ensuring they leave satisfied and inspired. Your passion for retail, combined with your knowledge of gardening, horticulture, and landscape maintenance, will help create a welcoming environment that encourages repeat visits. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your sales skills while contributing to a vibrant store atmosphere.

Duties

Greet customers warmly and assist them in finding products that meet their needs, offering expert advice on gardening, landscaping, and horticulture supplies
Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems efficiently for transactions including cash handling and electronic payments
Maintain attractive merchandise displays through effective merchandising techniques to enhance product visibility and appeal
Provide exceptional customer service by answering questions, offering product recommendations, and resolving concerns promptly
Support landscape maintenance activities within the store or garden center as needed to ensure a tidy and inviting environment
Manage inventory levels by restocking shelves, conducting stock counts, and assisting with e-commerce order fulfillment
Communicate product features and benefits clearly in multiple languages if applicable to serve diverse customer needs

Requirements

Previous experience with POS systems, cashiering, or retail sales is highly desirable
Knowledge of gardening, horticulture, or landscape maintenance enhances your ability to assist customers effectively
Strong communication skills in English; multilingual abilities are a plus for engaging a diverse clientele
Passion for customer service with a friendly, energetic attitude that motivates others
Organizational skills to manage stock levels and maintain an orderly sales floor
Basic understanding of e-commerce platforms is beneficial for supporting online sales initiatives
Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and responsibly while maintaining confidentiality
