Position: Shrub and Tree Sales & Maintenance Associate

Location: Blue Grass Ltd., Balzac, AB

Position Overview

Are you passionate about horticulture and enjoy being physically active' Join our team as a Shrub and Tree Sales & Maintenance Associate! This seasonal position runs from April to October and offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, assisting customers and maintaining our shrub and tree inventory.

Key Responsibilities

Inventory Management: Unload product shipments, receive inventory, and enter items into stock systems.
Customer Assistance: Help customers with product selection, provide advice on growing requirements, and guide them to product locations.
Sales Support: Tag and load products for customers, ensuring a positive experience.
Plant Care: Perform maintenance tasks, including watering, weeding, and pruning trees and shrubs.
Site Maintenance: Keep the shrub bed area clean and organized.

Qualifications

Experience:
- At least one year of customer service experience (preferred).
- Knowledge of horticulture or landscaping is an asset.
- Familiarity with POS systems is an advantage but not mandatory.
Skills:
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- A positive attitude and a willingness to learn.

Physical Demands

Outdoor position, requiring work in various weather conditions.
Physically demanding tasks, including lifting, carrying, bending, walking, and standing for extended periods.

Employment Details

Job Type: Full-time, Part-time, Temporary.
Location: Conveniently situated near CrossIron Mills, just a short drive north of Calgary.
Transportation: Reliable transportation is required as there is no public transit available in the area.
