We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Intermediate Accounting Technician – Accounts Receivable to join our growing team.

Position Summary
Reporting to the Administrative Manager, the Intermediate Accounting Technician will be responsible for overseeing the accounts receivable process, client invoices, collections, and related accounting support functions. The successful candidate will play an important role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the financial health of the company.
This role will also work closely with the broader accounting team and provide overlap, assistance, and coverage for accounts payable and accounting functions as required.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and issue client invoices accurately and in a timely manner
- Monitor accounts receivable aging and follow up on outstanding balances
- Communicate professionally with clients regarding payment inquiries and collections
- Apply client payments and reconcile customer accounts
- Assist with monthly reporting and account reconciliations
- Maintain organized and accurate accounting records and documentation
- Support project teams with billing and budget tracking
- Assist with month-end and year-end accounting procedures
- Provide support and backup coverage for accounts payable and other accounting functions as needed
- Collaborate with the accounting team to improve systems and processes
- Provide general accounting and administrative support as required
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 3–5 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience, with a strong focus on accounts receivable
- Diploma or certificate in Accounting, Bookkeeping, or related field preferred
- Experience in the construction industry is considered an asset
- Experience with cost plus construction accounting and invoicing is considered a strong asset
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial processes
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Experience with QuickBooks Online and/or JobTread is considered an asset
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Team-oriented mindset with the flexibility to assist across multiple accounting functions
