Our teams blend engineering, fabrication, and hands‑on field execution in a fast‑moving, schedule‑driven environment. If you enjoy working on active job sites, solving real‑world problems, and being part of teams that bring systems online, you’ll feel right at home here.
Position Overview
We’re looking for motivated Journeyman and Apprentice Instrumentation Technicians to join our growing team in a field‑based role supporting installation, integration, and commissioning of instrumentation and control systems.
This position is primarily site-driven and involves working in active construction and industrial environments. You’ll play a key role in installing, calibrating, testing, and troubleshooting instrumentation systems to support successful project delivery and startup.
This is an ideal opportunity for individuals who thrive in dynamic field conditions, enjoy hands-on technical work, and take pride in precision and system performance.
What Do Instrumentation Technicians Do?
Our field technicians ensure that instrumentation systems are installed and operating safely, accurately, and reliably in real-world environments. In this role, you will:
- Install, terminate, calibrate, and test instrumentation systems including transmitters, control valves, analyzers, and field devices in accordance with drawings, specifications, and applicable codes
- Perform tubing layout, bending, and installation (stainless steel and copper) for instrument air and process systems, ensuring clean, leak‑free, and code‑compliant installations in the field
- Read and interpret P&IDs, loop drawings, wiring diagrams, and control schematics to execute work accurately and efficiently on-site
- Perform loop checks and actively support commissioning and startup activities, including troubleshooting and resolving instrumentation and control issues in live field environments
- Work in close coordination with foremen, project managers, engineers, and other trades on-site to maintain schedule, productivity, and quality
- Adapt to changing site conditions, project phases, and priorities while maintaining precision and workmanship
- Maintain a high standard of safety by following company procedures, completing Field Level Hazard Assessments (FLHAs), and complying with all site safety requirements
- Ensure all work meets quality standards and report discrepancies or non‑conformances
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas across active job sites
- Follow all technical, quality, and safety instructions from supervisors and project leadership
