Brazilian Jiu Jitsu & Muay Thai Instructor

Position Overview

-Provide professional instruction of the highest caliber

-Teach and motivate students, guests and prospective students

-Excellent interpersonal & communication skills

-Self-motivated, leader mentality and people oriented

-Open to teaching new students at a white belt level

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Knowledge, skills & abilities:

In depth knowledge of Private Training techniques from assessment to program design.
Knowledge of company policies, practices and procedures, including emergency and safety procedures.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Able to generate, maintain and demonstrate a friendly, enthusiastic and positive attitude.
Possess a strong customer service focus. Responds professionally to requests and inquiries from guests, members and staff.
Understands and follow oral and written instructions.
Communicates clearly and concisely.
Possesses strong organizational skills. Understands basic record keeping practices and procedures. Demonstrates the ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks.
Experience operating office equipment such as computers, calculators, printers
Must be computer proficient with basic skills in Word and Excel and Google Suite
Usage of CRM (Spark, MindBody, ZenPlanner)
Ability to work, setup, plan and execute special events
Extroverted/High Energy/Self motivator/Customer service minded

Experience

BJJ Purple Belt level and higher preferred, but will consider Blue Belt Level

Required with minimum 3 years teaching experience

BJJ Tournament Record Preferred

CPR & Standard First Aid Certification is an asset

Must be open to working with children

Instructor Obligations and Responsibilities

-Maintain a stimulating, exciting and welcoming environment at the school

-Present a positive public image as a professional Instructor

-Promoting the school wherever and whenever possible

-Ensure that Affinity Academy Curriculum and Guidelines are being followed

-Ensure the safety of the classes and all participants

-Be fully prepared to teach the curriculum each day

-Be present 30 min prior to class is scheduled to start

-Use the Affinity Academy attendance tracking and promoting system for all students

This job description intends to describe the overall nature and expectations to be performed by the person assigned to this position. It is not intended to include all duties and responsibilities.

Job Types: Full Time/ Part Time.
20-35 hours/week

Salary: $1700-$3500/month

Experience:

Teaching Brazilian Jiu Jitsu: 3 years (Preferred)
Kickboxing: 3 years (Preferred)
