Full job description

- Minimum 5 years working as a Plastics Molding Set-up/Process Technician.

- Minimum 5 years working in a leadership role as a Supervisor/Team Lead.

- Good verbal and written skills. (Are able to read and write in English)

- Flexibility to work any shift. (Days, afternoons, nights)

- Able to lift 50 lbs and physically capable of managing mold changes.

- Valid Forklift, Overhead Crane, and First-Aid certificates preferred.

- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.

- Working understanding of a variety of plastics such as ABS, PC, Nylon, TPV, and Acetal.

Skills:

- Mechanical aptitude, problem solving abilities, strong attention to detail, as well as the ability to follow and recognize product and company quality standards.

- Positive attitude with a drive to learn, possessing leadership and good time management skills.

- Strong commitment to safety. Promotes a safe and clean work environment, identifying and eliminating potential hazards.

Duties:

- Install and properly set up molds; process and troubleshoot problems. Optimize processes to increase product quality and site efficiencies, while reducing scrap and achieving daily production numbers.

- Work with Arburg, Cincinnati Milacron, NegriBossi, sprue picker, grinders, gantry robots, and barrel mixers.

- Fill out process documentation sheets, work orders, mold repair forms, daily logs, as well as signing off and releasing machines/molds to continue production.

- Positively work together with other shift supervisors, team members, and maintenance staff; treating all fellow employees in a fair and equal manner.

- Provide continuous training, developing a productive and efficient Molding Operations Team that achieves scheduled requirements in a safe, team-based environment.

- Ensure Molding Production Employees are preforming assigned duties, recognizing and implementing quality standards, meeting quotas, are packing and labelling products properly, and are kept busy.

- Communicates issues, incidents, and results appropriately and in a timely manner. Communicate with previous and oncoming Supervisor at shift changes about any and all issues, ensuring a smooth shift transition.

- Housekeeping and cleaning of work/staff areas. Maintain machines and tools, ensuring staff have the necessary tools, boxes, etc. needed at all times. Ensure a clean and ready work environment for the next team at shift change.

- Attend regular safety, team, and supervisor meetings.

This position reports directly to the Facility Production Manager

Job Types: Permanent, Full-time

Pay: $26.00-$35.00 per hour
