Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Cardiovascular Technologist (CVT) to join our busy cardiac clinic. The ideal candidate will excel in performing cardiac exercise stress testing under physician supervision, conducting ECGs, and managing Holter monitoring devices. The role requires a strong understanding of quality improvement processes, willingness to participate in continuing education and committees, and the ability to meet the physical and mental demands of the position.

Roles and Responsibilities:

● Perform cardiac exercise stress testing under the direction of a physician.

● Conduct ECGs, including setup, execution, and preliminary assessments.

● Set up, scan, and remove Holter monitoring devices with precision and care.

● Accurately interpret EKGs and identify arrhythmias.

● Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and clinical efficiency.

● Collaborate with the medical team to ensure a seamless and supportive patient experience.

● Stay up-to-date with continuing education and participate in relevant committees.

Qualifications:

● Diploma from an accredited Cardiology Technologists’ Program.

● Active membership with the Canadian Society of Cardiology Technologists (CSCT) or the Alberta Society of Cardiology Technologists (ASCT).

● Current CPR certificate (Level C Basic).

● At least 1 year of clinical experience in an accredited lab (new graduates are welcome to apply).

● Strong knowledge of EKG interpretation and arrhythmia identification.

● Licensed LPNs and paramedics in good standing are welcome to apply (an ECG test will be part of the hiring process).

New Graduates are Welcome to apply.

If you're an LPN or a Paramedic in good standing with your licensing Bodies. Kindly applying there will be an ECG test to complete. Please do not apply if you have no experience with identifying arrhythmias.
