The Opportunity
SunMETA Group is seeking a hands-on Director of Content & Community ready to take greater ownership of content strategy, team leadership, and performance delivery.
This position is ideal for a high-performing Marketing Manager or current Director who excels at conceptualizing strategies, writing exceptional content, organizing workflows, and guiding teams to deliver results. You will actively shape how our brands generate and convert leads through social media, websites, email campaigns, and video, while continuing to contribute directly to content quality and creative direction.
Reporting directly to the Vice President of Marketing and supported by a dedicated Marketing Manager, you will lead and develop a team of 8–10 marketing professionals who work together to advance our mission of Supporting Student Success.

Key Responsibilities
As a key member of the marketing department, this role owns the end-to-end content and organic marketing strategy. You will be accountable for the following:
- Conceptualize, develop and execute high-impact content and organic marketing strategies across social media, websites, email campaigns, and video to generate qualified leads and maximize conversion into students.
- Lead, inspire, develop, and manage a team of 8–10 creative marketing professionals, supported by a dedicated Marketing Manager, through coaching, mentorship, and process optimization.
- Actively contribute to ideation, writing, and content development ensuring all outputs meet high standards of clarity, persuasion, and brand consistency.
- Partner with Paid Media to align messaging, creative assets, and performance insights and strategy.
- Drive measurable results from content initiatives (engagement, leads, conversion).
- Build and improve efficient workflows, processes, and content production systems to support speed, quality, multitasking, and team effectiveness.
- Review and elevate all major content outputs (social, website copy, email, video).
- Oversee community engagement and brand presence to strengthen reputation and support the lead generation funnel.
- Maintain high standards of professionalism, tone, and consistency across all content.
Qualifications and Experience
- Degree in Marketing, Communications or relevant field.
- 5+ years of progressive marketing experience, with direct ownership of content strategy and execution, with 2-4 years leading or mentoring a creative team.
- Exceptional writing and editing skills - this is a core requirement. You are likely a former or current professional copywriter with outstanding command of English grammar and the ability to craft nuanced, persuasive ad copy and marketing content that drives leads and conversions.
- Strong understanding of consumer psychology, performance marketing and market research
- Demonstrated ability to build, inspire, and manage high-performing teams.
- Strong organizational and project management, workflow planning, and time-management skills, with the proven ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel), Adobe Creative Suite, and common marketing platforms.
