Full job description

Job Overview

We are looking for a qualified candidate to join the Finance Team as Accounts Payable & Reception. The Accounts Payable and Reception position is responsible for ensuring a welcoming, positive experience as first point of contact for external visitors and incoming calls to the company. They provide administrative support to accounting. Fulfillment of general administrative duties to support smooth, efficient departmental operations.

Responsibilities:

Accounts Payable and Reception, reports directly to the Director of Finance and will be responsible for:

Serve as first point of contact for visitors, incoming calls, and correspondence.
Maintenance of office supplies and related equipment.
Ensure timely, effective communication with internal and external parties.
Respond to general questions and requests for information and facilitate redirection to appropriate parties.
Ensure accurate, timely delivery of Accounts Payable activities.
Perform day-to-day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying and recording accounts payable data.
Responsible for collating, reconciliation, and maintenance of AP records.
Create customer invoices.
Provide support to month end/year end accounting processes.
Assist in general accounting tasks as required.
Maintain historical records, filing.
Completion of accounting reports and maintaining records and maintenance of accounting spreadsheets.
Ability to effectively react to change and undertake other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

Post-secondary education or experience working in an office environment
Experience in Accounts Payable would be an asset
Experience in Excel
