Bookkeeper / Accounting Administrator
Location: On-Site Initially (Potential for Hybrid Work After Probation)

Position Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Bookkeeper / Accounting
Administrator to support a group of small businesses owned by the same entrepreneur.
The businesses operate in different industries but share common ownership and
financial oversight.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, can manage multiple sets of books
simultaneously, and takes pride in maintaining accurate and timely financial records.
The successful candidate will work on-site during the initial training and onboarding
period to gain a thorough understanding of the businesses and internal processes. After
approximately three to six months, there may be an opportunity to transition to a hybrid
work arrangement based on performance and operational needs.
Key Responsibilities
Bookkeeping and Accounting
Maintain accurate financial records for multiple companies.
Record accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
Perform bank and credit card reconciliations.
Prepare and post journal entries.
Process payroll and related remittances.
Prepare HST/GST filings and other government remittances.
Track intercompany transactions and balances.
Maintain fixed asset schedules.
Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
Prepare supporting schedules for external accountants.
Administrative and Reporting Duties
Organize and maintain accounting files and documentation.
Monitor cash balances and assist with cash flow tracking.
Prepare routine management reports and summaries.
Follow up on outstanding receivables and vendor inquiries.
Assist in implementing and improving accounting procedures.
Collaboration
Work closely with the business owner and external Fractional CFO.
Coordinate with external accountants and payroll providers as required.
Support special projects and ad hoc financial analysis.
Qualifications
Diploma or certificate in Accounting, Bookkeeping, or Business Administration.
Minimum 3 years of bookkeeping experience, preferably with multiple companies
or entities.
Strong knowledge of Canadian accounting practices and payroll requirements.
Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks Online, QuickBooks
Desktop, or Xero.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Apple.
Experience with payroll software such as QB is an asset
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage deadlines across multiple businesses.
Strong communication skills and a high level of confidentiality.

Work Arrangement
Initial Period: Full-time on-site for training and onboarding.

Pay: $16.00-$23.00 per hour
