Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Environmental Worker to join our team. This role involves maintaining cleanliness and safety within various facilities through custodial and cleaning responsibilities. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial cleaning and a strong commitment to creating a healthy, hygienic environment. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to the well-being of our community while working in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Duties

Perform custodial tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and trash removal across designated areas
Conduct thorough cleaning of restrooms, kitchens, and common spaces using appropriate cleaning supplies and equipment
Ensure all surfaces are sanitized according to health standards
Maintain cleanliness of floors, windows, and fixtures regularly
Follow safety protocols during all cleaning activities to prevent accidents or injuries
Restock supplies such as paper towels, soap, and other consumables as needed
Assist with waste disposal and recycling procedures in compliance with environmental policies
Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to supervisors promptly

Experience

Prior custodial or commercial cleaning experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided
Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and proper handling procedures is advantageous
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of cleanliness
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Reliable work ethic with a focus on safety and efficiency
Ability to perform physical tasks including standing for extended periods, bending, lifting up to 40 pounds, and walking throughout large facilities

This role is vital in ensuring our facilities remain safe, clean, and welcoming for all visitors and staff. We value hardworking individuals committed to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and environmental safety.

Pay: $16.75-$17.75 per hour
