Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Janitor/Cleaner to maintain cleanliness and safety across our facilities. The ideal candidate will ensure that all areas are hygienic, organized, and well-maintained, contributing to a clean and welcoming environment for staff and visitors. This role involves performing routine cleaning tasks, handling minor maintenance, and supporting overall facilities upkeep.

Responsibilities

Perform general cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and trash removal in various areas of the facility
Conduct deep cleaning of restrooms, kitchens, and common areas to ensure sanitation standards are met
Maintain cleanliness of floors, windows, walls, and fixtures using appropriate cleaning supplies and equipment
Assist with minor maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs or fixing minor repairs to ensure proper facility operation
Restock supplies such as paper towels, soap, and cleaning products as needed
Follow safety protocols related to cleaning chemicals and equipment handling
Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management promptly

Qualifications

Prior experience in cleaning or facilities maintenance is preferred but not required
Knowledge of commercial cleaning techniques and safety procedures is a plus
Ability to operate cleaning equipment safely and effectively
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Good physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks and lift moderate loads as needed
Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
