Job Posting: Security Officer(s) – Guard Services

Temporary Full-time positions available
Wage: $20.50 hourly

About the Role:

We’re hiring Security Officers for static sites in the Guysborough County region. This will be a seasonal position with potential opportunities for permanent positions.

Responsibilities include:

Conducting regular patrols (on foot and in vehicles)
Monitoring and controlling access to properties and facilities
Responding to alarms and emergency situations
Access control & site monitoring
Patrols and incident reporting
Maintain a visible security presence
Enforcing site-specific policies and procedures
Completing accurate and timely reports
Engaging respectfully with clients, visitors, and community members

What We’re Looking For:

Able to obtain a Nova Scotia security license
Class 5 driver’s license with clean abstract
Clear criminal record check
Strong communication and observational skills
Physical ability to perform patrol duties (walking, standing, etc.)
Flexible availability (nights, weekends, holidays as needed)
Prior experience in security, law enforcement, or military is an asset
Indigenous applicants are strongly encouraged to apply
