The Role
We are looking for an experienced Landscape Foreman to lead our crews in the field, run jobsites day to day, and ensure projects are completed on time, on budget, and to our quality standards. This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who can both do the work and direct a team.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise landscape crews on a daily basis, assigning tasks and managing workflow
- Read and interpret site plans, landscape drawings, and project specifications
- Lay out and install hardscapes including paver patios, walkways, driveways, retaining walls, and porcelain tile
- Install and maintain irrigation systems, drainage, and grading
- Install pools and swim spas
- Perform softscape work including planting, soil preparation, sod, and mulching
- Operate equipment such as skid steers, excavators, compactors, and trucks/trailers safely
- Maintain quality control and ensure work meets company and client standards
- Coordinate material deliveries and manage on-site inventory and tools
- Track labour hours, daily progress, and report to management
- Enforce jobsite safety and ensure compliance with WorkSafeBC requirements
- Maintain a professional appearance and represent the company well with clients on site
- Train, mentor, and support crew members
- Ensure jobsites are kept clean, organized, and tidy at the end of each day
- Use Aspire and Strata X daily
Qualifications
- Proven experience in landscape construction, with prior crew lead or foreman experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of hardscape installation, grading, irrigation, and planting
- Ability to read and work from site plans and drawings
- Valid BC driver’s licence (Class 5 minimum; trailer/air endorsement an asset)
- Equipment operation experience (skid steer, mini excavator) an asset
- Physically capable of working outdoors in all conditions and lifting heavy materials
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
- Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated
- First Aid certification an asset
