**Job Overview:**
We are seeking a dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in assisting our dental professionals and providing top-notch care to our patients. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic healthcare environment and contribute to improving oral health outcomes.
**Duties:**
- Assist dentists during procedures by handing them instruments and anticipating their needs
- Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations
- Sterilize dental instruments and equipment
- Take and develop dental x-rays
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices
- Maintain accurate patient records
- Schedule appointments and handle dental receptionist duties as needed
**Experience:**
- Proven experience in dental assisting
- Knowledge of orthodontic procedures
- Understanding of medical terminology related to dentistry
- Experience with Abledent or similar dental practice management software would be an asset
**Skills:**
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently
