Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Kennel and Barn Yard Worker to assist with the daily care and maintenance of animals and farm facilities. This role involves hands-on work in a rural setting, ensuring the health and safety of animals, maintaining barn and kennel areas, and supporting farm operations. The ideal candidate will be reliable, physically fit, and comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions. Willing and able to work evenings and weekends is a must. Looking for someone with horse and farm experience

Responsibilities

Clean and disinfect animal kennels, stalls, and barn areas to promote a healthy environment
Feed and water animals according to established schedules and protocols.
Perform heavy lifting when moving feed bags, equipment, or supplies
Operate farm machinery such as tractors or other equipment as needed (training provided)
Maintain cleanliness of tools and equipment used in daily operations
Assist with general farm maintenance tasks including fencing, repairs, and landscaping
Monitor animal behavior for signs of illness or distress and report concerns to supervisors

Qualifications

Prior experience with farm machinery or mechanical knowledge is a plus but not required; training will be provided
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions
Strong work ethic with attention to detail and safety protocols
Ability to follow instructions carefully and work independently or as part of a team
Physical stamina to handle long periods of standing, bending, and lifting during daily tasks
