Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Dishwasher to join our team in a fast-paced kitchen environment. As a Dishwasher, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our restaurant maintains high standards of cleanliness and sanitation. Your responsibilities will include washing dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment, as well as assisting with food preparation tasks when needed. This position is ideal for individuals who thrive in the food service and hospitality industry and are eager to contribute to a dynamic team.

Responsibilities

Efficiently wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans using commercial dishwashing equipment.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dishwashing area and kitchen.
Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including chopping vegetables and preparing ingredients.
Ensure that all kitchen equipment is cleaned and stored properly after use.
Help maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and notify management when supplies are low.
Follow all safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.

Requirements

Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is preferred but not required.
Knowledge of proper food handling techniques and sanitation practices.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with other staff members.
Willingness to take direction from cooks and kitchen managers.
Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift heavy items as needed.
A positive attitude and willingness to help wherever necessary in the kitchen.
