Job Summary
Join our dynamic hospitality team as a Housekeeper/Room Attendant and play a vital role in creating a welcoming and spotless environment for our guests. In this energetic position, you'll be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, comfort, and overall appearance of guest rooms and public areas. Duties
- Cleaning and disinfecting wash basins, counter tops, toilets, mirrors, tubs, and showers.
- Washing and drying glass surfaces.
- Loading dishwashers and putting away clean dishes and cutlery.
- Washing and drying other items such as pots and pans.
- Emptying and cleaning trash containers.
- Dusting furniture and fixtures.
- Vacuuming carpets and upholstery, moving furniture when required.
- Making up beds and changing linens as required.
- Replace dirty linen and used amenities in bathrooms.
- Sweeping, and mopping floors.
- Restocking room supplies such as glassware, coffee, and writing supplies.
- Checking all appliances are in working order and reporting any deficiencies.
- Checking vacant rooms and reporting or performing any required touch ups.
- Assist with cleaning the public areas, washrooms and elevators when required.
- Realign furniture and amenities according to prescribed layout.
- Respond to guest requests for additional items.
- Observe and report damage to hotel property.
Requirements
- No education or skills required we can train however experience in cleaning, custodial work, or hospitality housekeeping roles is preferred
- Familiarity with hotel or industrial cleaning standards and procedures is highly desirable
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
- Ability to stand for extended periods, bend, lift moderate weights, and perform physically demanding tasks comfortably
- For the safety and security of yourself and others you must be able to understand and communicate in English.
Pending performance we provide a wage increase following 6 months of employment.
There is also a summer bonus program where you can earn up to $2 more per hour for every hour worked from June 15th to October 15, rules of the program will be discussed upon hire.
