Job Overview

We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Night Time Cashier to join our dynamic retail team. In this role, you will be the friendly face welcoming customers during the overnight hours, ensuring smooth and efficient checkout processes while providing exceptional customer service. Your enthusiasm and organizational skills will help create a positive shopping environment, support sales goals, and maintain accurate cash handling procedures. This position offers a unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced setting where your communication skills and multitasking abilities will shine.

Responsibilities

Greet customers warmly as they approach the checkout area, establishing a welcoming atmosphere.
Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately to process transactions, including cash, credit/debit cards, and digital payments.
Handle cash handling duties with precision, including giving correct change and balancing cash registers at shift end.
Assist customers with product inquiries, provide product demos when applicable, and suggest upselling opportunities to enhance sales.
Maintain merchandising standards by organizing shelves and displays during downtime to ensure an attractive shopping environment.
Ensure proper phone etiquette when answering customer calls or inquiries received during shifts.
Manage time efficiently to complete tasks promptly while delivering excellent customer service throughout the shift.

Qualifications

Previous experience in retail sales or cashiering is preferred, especially with POS systems and cash handling.
Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customers.
Demonstrated ability to perform basic math accurately for transactions and balancing registers.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Customer service-oriented mindset with a friendly and professional demeanor.
Experience with merchandising, product demos, upselling, and technical sales is advantageous.
Ability to work independently during night shifts while maintaining high energy levels and focus.
