Full job description

We are currently looking for Junior/Intermediate and Senior Electrical Designers.

The Electrical Designer will be responsible for determining project specifications by studying product design, customer requirements and performance standards; coordinates activities with project manager, completes technical specification reviews, supports cost estimates and preparation of bill of materials.

Role and Responsibilities

Use all relevant documentation.
Note any issues with a project – design, concept, timing.
Hardware design.
Programming.
Startup assistance.
Service, Production and Sales support.
Guide co-ops.
Request resources as required.
Cable calculations.
Support Mechanical designer
Obtain all required project documents.
Maintain project deadlines.
Use all relevant documentation to ensure a smooth project.
Document and communicate any issues with a project – design, concept, timing.
Hardware design.
Service support.
Production support.
Sales support.
Schedule resources as required.
Schedule ESA inspections.
BOM- Design & Maintenance.
Cable calculations.
Integrate & Communicate with Mechanical designers to ensure cohesive designs.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

Minimum 2 to 3-year College Diploma technician/technologist and/or University Electrical Engineering degree or equivalent.
Proficient in AutoCAD software.
Electrical CAD software an asset.
EPLAN an asset.
Mechanical schematic interpretation, Mechanical theory and application required.
Must be able to travel internationally.
Works with minimum supervision.
Fast learner.
Accurate documentation generation.
Attention to detail is mandatory.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $54,139.37-$80,156.30 per year
