Waypoint Centre for Mental Health Care is a 315-bed academic and teaching hospital that provides specialized mental health, addiction and geriatric care. Located on the shores of Georgian Bay, we serve some of the most complex and disadvantaged individuals in Ontario and are the sole provider of high-secure forensic mental health services in the province.
The Manager of People, Experience & Talent is currently seeking an Employee Experience Specialist. The purpose of the position is to support the implementation and facilitation of variety of employee experience programs and initiatives aimed at enhancing the work experience, fostering a vibrant company culture, and ensuring our team members are engaged, motivated, and recognized.
Note: This position offers a hybrid work environment consisting of in-office and remote work. Office location is 500 Church Street, Penetanguishene.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Support the employee experience strategy by coordinating and implementing initiatives that enhance engagement, belonging, and connection across all stages of the employee journey

Plan and execute engagement programs and events including hospital initiatives, recognition programs, and celebrations that build community and foster inclusion.

Partner with Organizational Development & Talent Consultants on employee experience, organizational development & cultural initiatives, including corporate action plans driven by Employee Engagement Survey results

Participate in and support hospital Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) programs and services

Support corporate recognition strategy and programs including Core Value Awards and Employee Appreciation Month activities

Administer stay and exit survey & interview processes, analyze trends, develop andpresent recommendations to the Organizational Development and People, Experience & Talentleadership

Partner with Organizational Development and People, Experience & TalentLeadership and hospital leaders to align engagement, communication, and culture programs with broader people and business strategies

Seek and leverage data and feedback to evaluate impact and continuously improve the employee experience

Lead Waypoint’s mentorship program to support onboarding and a culture of belonging

Support change management initiatives via communications and storytelling
- Champion Waypoint’s values and culture, creating opportunities for employees to connect with our purpose and each other in meaningful ways

Provide generalist level support to the Organizational Development and People, Experience & Talent area when required including supporting recruitment, engagement and recognition activities
REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Education, Business, Healthcare/Public Administration, Communications, Social Sciences or a related field (Required)

Recognized professional education in a related field such as human resources, organizational development, advanced facilitation, change management or project management (Required)

Minimum of 2 years of recent and related experience (Required)

Experience in adult learning theories and techniques to develop effective, creative, learning activities for diverse audiences

Knowledge of group facilitation, theories and techniques to support team development, planning, and problem solving

Strong knowledge of employee feedback systems, tools and techniques
-
Strong knowledge of employee recognition systems, tools and techniques
-
Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information
-
Ability to promote an inclusive environment and integrate differences
-
Results oriented work ethic to work independently
- Demonstrated leadership, conflict resolution, interpersonal and organizational skills

Proven written and verbal communication skills

Proven ability to adapt readily to change and reflects an optimistic and positive attitude

- Preference for proficiency in French/English language skills
