We are seeking candidates who are interested in working with our Municipal Infrastrastructure and Roads team based out of our Barrie Office.
What You’ll Do
You’ll be part of a collaborative team that values initiative, curiosity, and follow-through, key responsibilities include:
- Producing detailed design drawings in AutoCAD Civil3D at various stages of the project – preliminary, detailed designs, and tenders for municipal infrastructure and roads.
- Building and refining complex 3D corridor model
- Supporting engineers in designing roadway and underground pipe networks that meet municipal and regulatory standards
- Assisting with design calculations, quantity take-offs, and cost estimates.
- Assisting with preparing municipal special provisions, schedule of items, and tender documents.
- Supporting contract administrators and construction inspectors as needed during construction.
- Performing other duties as assigned.
What You Bring
- A diploma in Civil Technology or Computer Drafting (AutoCAD/Civil 3D), or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in municipal infrastructure design and construction.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Strong design skills and a passion for precision and creativity.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, SharePoint) and PDF editing tools.
- Effective communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
- High attention to detail and commitment to standards.
- A valid Class G driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle
Nice to Have
- Progress toward OACETT certification.
- Construction site inspection or field experience.
Salary Range: $65,000 - $80,000
The final compensation offered will be based on factors such as relevant experience, skills, internal equity, and market conditions.
