We are currently seeking a skilled Loss Prevention Guard in the Barrie Ontario region to work closely with our retail clients, who will also have a lot of interaction with the police. Role Overview
As a Loss Prevention Officer, you will be instrumental in identifying and detaining individuals involved in theft, helping to reduce shrinkage and protect retail assets. Your responsibilities will include documenting incidents, preparing detailed reports, and collaborating with law enforcement to maintain a secure environment across client retail sites. This position is well-suited for individuals with academic backgrounds in Police Foundations or Private Security.

Job Responsibilities
- Conducting surveillance to detect and apprehend shoplifters
- Minimize the financial loss of retail items related to theft
- Write apprehension and prevention reports
- Follow policies and procedures
Requirements:
- Valid Ontario Security License
- Basic understanding of the Criminal Code of Canada, Trespass to Property Act and Powers of Arrest
- Ability to communicate with first responders, staff and management
- Available to work a variety of shifts including days, evenings and weekends
- Ability to work independently and possess initiative and integrity
- English (written and verbal)
- Ability to stand and walk for a full shift
