Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Plate/Structural Roller Operator to join our production team. Reporting directly to the Processing Lead Hand, you will play a key role in our fast-paced custom steel fabrication setting. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in plate and structural rolling/forming, with familiarity in CNC controls and metal forming theory. Intermediate blueprint reading skills are essential.
Responsibilities
- Roll various grades of steel plate using 4 roll 14’ CNC Davi MCB4050 and 3 Roll 10’ Sertom RIMI
- Roll various structural steel products using FACCIN RCMI 110
- Load / Unload materials using Forklifts and Overhead Cranes.
- Tack / Stitch weld closed seams.
- Maintain a safe and clean work area.
- Accurately clock in and out of projects daily.
- Roll/form parts according to provided drawings and instructions.
- Perform cleaning of parts as required.
- Work efficiently within a team to meet production goals and deadlines.
- Adapt to a fast-paced environment and work under pressure.
Qualifications
- Secondary School Graduation Diploma.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.
- Strong communication skills (written, oral, listening) and attention to detail.
- Ability to read a tape measure in both standard and metric.
- Positive attitude and ability to work well in a team environment.
- Flexibility to work different shifts and overtime as needed.
- Fitting / Welding experience.
- Strong knowledge of various steel products and grades.
- Valid Forklift / overhead crane certification is an asset.
