ABOUT THE POSITION
AES is recruiting an experienced Shop Foreman to lead a team of 310T Technicians within a transportation fleet maintenance environment. The successful candidate will oversee daily maintenance operations, assign work, support diagnostics, ensure repair quality, manage workflow priorities, and maintain compliance with all safety and maintenance standards while supporting maximum fleet availability.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Supervise and lead a team of 310T Technicians
- Assign daily work and prioritize maintenance activities
- Coordinate preventative maintenance and repair schedules
- Monitor technician productivity, efficiency, and repair quality
- Support technicians with diagnostics and complex repairs
- Review completed work orders for accuracy and completeness
- Authorize repairs and maintenance activities
- Coordinate with operations and dispatch regarding fleet priorities
- Manage vendor repairs and outside maintenance services
- Monitor parts inventory and shop resources
- Conduct quality control inspections on completed repairs
- Ensure compliance with company, industry, and regulatory standards
- Promote a strong safety culture throughout the maintenance operation
- Mentor, coach, and develop maintenance personnel
REQUIREMENTS / CERTIFICATIONS
- Ontario 310T Truck and Coach Technician License preferred
- AZ Driver’s License considered a strong asset
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience in a fleet maintenance environment
- Comprehensive knowledge of heavy-duty truck systems and operations
- Experience overseeing and coordinating preventive maintenance programs
- Proficiency with computer applications and fleet maintenance management software
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational capabilities
- Demonstrated troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced setting
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
- Payrate $36.00 per hour + $1.00 per hour shift premium
- Overtime available where applicable
- Consistent schedule of four 11.5-hour shifts per week
- Three-day weekend every week
