About the Role
You will play a key role in supporting the clinical team and ensuring the practice runs smoothly and efficiently.
You will gain hands-on experience in:
- Sterilization and infection control
- Chairside assisting
- Patient interaction and care
- Clinical workflow and charting
Core Responsibilities
This role is critical to maintaining patient safety and clinic efficiency. Key responsibilities include:
Clinical & Sterilization Support (Priority)
- Processing and sterilizing instruments throughout the day
- Monitoring sterilization flow to ensure instruments are available
- Maintaining organized and stocked clinical areas
Operatory & Clinic Readiness
- Turning over treatment rooms efficiently between patients
- Preparing trays and ensuring operatories are ready
- Supporting patient flow and minimizing delays
Hygiene Support
- Assisting hygienists with probing/charting when required
- Supporting hygiene workflow as a priority when needed
Team Support
- Assisting team members during busy periods
- Taking initiative to support overall clinic efficiency

Schedule
- Monday to Thursday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- 1 weekend per month required (Friday & Saturday, occasional Sunday)
Compensation
- $18 – $22 per hour, based on experience

Location & Eligibility Requirements
This is a full-time, on-site position based in Smithers, BC.
Preference will be given to candidates who:
- Currently live within commuting distance, or
- Are fully prepared to relocate before starting
