Job Summary
We are currently seeking an experienced Forklift Operator/ Shipper and Receiver to join our warehouse team. This role is part of a warehouse team that safely, accurately, and efficient handles the movement and tracking of materials using forklift equipment and RF/RFID scanning tools. Our warehouses typically operate Monday - Friday days, however there may be occasions where weekend work is scheduled to support customer requests.
Our warehouses operate under strict food-grade certification standards, providing a clean, organized, and safety-focused work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate various types of forklift trucks (counterbalance, reach truck, etc.)
- Accurately and efficiently scan, track and move materials
- Work efficiently while maintaining a steady and safe handling pace
- Perform duties in refrigerated storage areas (temperatures as low as 0°C)
- Collaborate effectively with Supervisors, co-workers, and customers
- Adhere to all health, safety, and food-grade compliance standards
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Proficient in the use of various forklift trucks as demonstrated by 3- 5 years forklift driving experience. Certificate of training preferred.
- Secondary School Diploma. Post-secondary education in warehousing, logistics and/or business management is advantageous.
- Able to safely lift and handle items up to 22 kgs/50 lbs.
- 3-5 years’ experience in warehousing related activities.
- Adaptable to flexible hours of work and willing to travel to different warehouse locations as assigned. (Currently Trenton and Belleville)
- Sufficient computer/technology skills to operate iPad and Warehouse Material System
