Child & Family Therapist – Relational & Attachment-Based Practice
Independent Contractor | Part-time or Full-time
Belleville, ON (In-Person Required)

At The Relationship Centre, we are an attachment-based, relational therapy practice supporting children, families, couples, and individuals across Eastern Ontario. Our work is grounded in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), attachment science, and trauma-informed care.

We are intentionally growing our child and family services in Belleville with care, support, and a strong relational foundation.

This role is best suited to a therapist who already has experience providing therapy or counselling to children, youth, and families and is looking for a practice where attachment-based and relational work are deeply valued.

Are looking primarily for behavioural management, assessment, or crisis-focused work without an interest in deeper relational and attachment-based therapy

Qualifications & Requirements

Applicants must:

Be registered (or eligible for registration) with the CRPO or OCSWSSW
Have experience providing therapy or counselling to children, youth, and families
Be willing to involve parents/caregivers as part of the therapeutic process
Be available for in-person work in Belleville
Have strong relational, communication, and organizational skills
Be able to maintain timely clinical documentation and professional standards of practice

Experience supporting children and youth in educational, behavioural, residential, protection, or justice settings is valuable; however, preference will be given to candidates with direct psychotherapy or counselling experience.

Preferred but not required:

Training or experience in attachment-based, trauma-informed, or Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) approaches
Experience supporting families, parents, or caregiver relationships
Availability for some after-school or early evening client hours

Successful candidates will also be required to provide:

Proof of professional registration and liability insurance
A current Vulnerable Sector Check prior to seeing clients

Compensation

Independent contractor role
Competitive compensation structure
Administrative and referral support provided

Schedule

In-person availability required (minimum two days per week)
Flexible scheduling
