Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Drywall Finisher to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for finishing drywall surfaces to a high standard of quality, ensuring smooth, seamless walls and ceilings. This role requires a strong understanding of construction processes, excellent craftsmanship, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Experience with various construction tasks and tools is highly valued, and candidates should be committed to safety and precision throughout their work.

Duties

Apply joint compound, tape, and finishing materials to drywall surfaces for smooth finishes
Sand and smooth drywall surfaces to prepare for painting or other finishes
Read blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to determine project requirements
Use hand tools such as trowels, knives, sanding blocks, and taping tools to achieve desired results
Operate power tools including drills, saws, and sanders safely and effectively
Install drywall panels on walls and ceilings according to specifications
Caulk joints and seams for a clean finish
Assist with related tasks such as insulation installation, framing adjustments, or minor carpentry as needed
Maintain a clean work area and adhere to safety protocols on-site

Experience

Prior experience with drywall finishing or related construction work is preferred
Knowledge of blueprint reading and schematics is beneficial
Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and drywall installation techniques
Construction experience across various trades such as carpentry, masonry, or painting is advantageous
Ability to interpret construction drawings and schematics accurately
Experience with related skills such as caulking, flooring installation, tile laying, electrical work, plumbing, welding, or concrete finishing is a plus
Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality craftsmanship
Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a dynamic construction environment

Pay: $20.68-$30.94 per hour
