Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Part-Time Butcher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in food preparation, butchery, and food handling, with a focus on providing high-quality meat cuts and excellent customer service. This role involves working in a fast-paced environment where attention to food safety and proper packaging are essential. The Part-Time Butcher will play a vital role in ensuring our customers receive fresh, expertly prepared meat products while maintaining the highest standards of hygiene and safety.

Responsibilities

Perform meat cutting and butchery tasks with precision and care to meet customer specifications
Handle food products safely, adhering to all food safety regulations and guidelines
Prepare meat for display, packaging, and sale, ensuring proper labeling and presentation
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, tools, and equipment in compliance with health standards
Assist customers with their selections, providing knowledgeable and friendly customer service
Manage inventory levels of meat products, restocking as needed to ensure freshness and availability
Follow all safety protocols related to food handling, equipment operation, and workplace safety

Qualifications

Prior experience in the food industry, particularly in butchery or meat preparation, is preferred
Knowledge of food safety standards and proper handling techniques
Ability to perform precise meat cutting and packaging tasks efficiently
Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and hygiene standards
Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
Kitchen experience or background in food preparation is a plus
Ability to work part-time hours with flexibility for shifts as needed
