Bell Animal Hospital is seeking a motivated and dedicated Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to join our team as we prepare for the opening of our new hospital location. This is a permanent position with an anticipated start date of August 2026 to begin the training and preparation process. The role will begin on a part-time basis during this phase, with the expectation of transitioning to a full-time position once the new hospital is operational
Primary duties of this contract position include:
- Maintain active registration and good standing as an RVT (previous experience considered an asset)
- Assist veterinarians with examinations, surgical procedures, and other medical treatments
- Take and process radiographs; Perform routine laboratory tests; Obtain blood samples from patients
- Admit and discharge patients, ensuring post-discharge instructions are clearly communicated to clients
- Clean, pack and autoclave all surgical instruments
- Assist with inventory management of medical supplies, medications, and products
- Strong knowledge of Avimark software is a must with proficiency in MS Word & Excel
- Provide administrative support and coverage for the Clinic Administrator when required, including reception and point-of-sale transactions
- Offer compassionate support to patients and their families
- Work week is approximately 35-40 hours with schedule flexibility during Clinic hours: Monday-Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
- Pay rate is based on experience.
