Job Summary

We are seeking an energetic and motivated Food Service Supervisor to lead our dynamic food service team. In this role, you will oversee daily operations in a fast-paced restaurant or hospitality environment, ensuring exceptional customer experiences while maintaining high standards of food quality, safety, and cleanliness. Your leadership will drive team performance, streamline food preparation and service processes, and uphold our commitment to outstanding hospitality. This is a paid position that offers an exciting opportunity to develop your management skills within the vibrant food industry.

Responsibilities

Supervise daily food service operations, ensuring smooth coordination between kitchen and front-of-house staff
Lead and motivate team members to deliver excellent customer service, fostering a positive and energetic work environment
Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to meet quality standards and safety regulations
Manage cash handling procedures, including POS (Point of Sale) transactions using Micros POS systems
Conduct interviews and assist in hiring new team members, providing training on food handling, safety protocols, and customer service expectations
Monitor food safety practices, ensuring compliance with health regulations and proper food handling procedures
Support restaurant management by maintaining cleanliness, organization, and efficient workflow in kitchen and dining areas

Qualifications

Proven supervising experience in a food service or restaurant environment with strong team management skills
Extensive food industry knowledge including food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety standards
Hands-on experience with POS systems such as Micros POS; cash handling proficiency required
Excellent customer service skills with a focus on hospitality and guest satisfaction
Ability to lead by example in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
Strong communication skills for interviewing, training, and team coordination
Previous restaurant or hotel management experience is highly desirable; barista or food serving experience is a plus
Knowledge of kitchen operations, food handling procedures, and restaurant management best practices
