Harris Victoria Dodge is going through exciting changes, and looking for an Automotive Electrical Diagnostic technician as we continue to move down our growth path.

We offer Relocation Assistance to help get you setup and on your feet. To get you on your feet, we’ll pay for 2 months of accommodations, and also give you a 30 day guarantee.

As our Electrical Technician you’ll make $55 per hour on Flat-Rate, with up to another $3 per hour Flat Rate in production bonuses.

We have a high volume used vehicle department, where internally, we spread the love for all Journeyman technicians to take part in inspection, and mechanical work to make flat rate hours.

To get even more hours, we have a full-functioning Outbound and Inbound Service Business Development team who help grow the retail side of business, along with the support of Marketing team.

Victoria is an incredible city, and offers a lot of variety for every lifestyle. From incredible year-round weather versus the rest of Canada, to water everywhere, fishing, boating, the big city of Vancouver shopping, and incredible restaurants.

Victoria sees little to no snow over the winter. In fact, last winter, we had no snow at all. But when we do see snow, it’s maybe a few centimeters, a few isolated days during the winter months – but it melts the same day. And every now and again over the winter it might dip to just below zero (like -2) for an overnight low.

The city of Vancouver is just a hop, skip and a jump by ferry in just over an hour. Or puddle-jumper. You can jump on a bobsled converted into a float-plane if you’re into that as a method of crossing faster. But a large majority of people from Victoria visit Vancouver on the weekends.

The major metropolitan city of Vancouver, and surrounding areas, offer everything any lifestyle could possibly want, including the USA crossing into Seattle by vehicle from Vancouver, or a ferry direct from Victoria in just over an hour.

What You'll Do

As an Electrical Diagnostic Technician, you will:

Diagnose and repair complex electrical and electronic vehicle systems
Troubleshoot CAN bus, LIN bus, and network communication concerns
Diagnose wiring, module, sensor, and power distribution system faults
Perform advanced drivability and electrical diagnostics
Repair and program control modules as required
Diagnose ADAS, safety, and convenience system concerns
Utilize factory diagnostic tools and service information effectively
Complete warranty and customer-pay repairs to manufacturer specifications
Document diagnostic procedures and repair findings accurately
Support fellow technicians with complex electrical troubleshooting

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

Red Seal Automotive Service Technician certification (or equivalent)
Extensive experience in automotive electrical diagnostics
Strong understanding of vehicle electrical systems and network communications
Experience using advanced scan tools and diagnostic equipment
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
Exceptional problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Commitment to quality workmanship and continuous learning

Preferred Qualifications

Chrysler/Stellantis dealership experience
OEM electrical and diagnostic certifications
Experience with module programming and vehicle software updates
ADAS diagnostic and calibration experience
Hybrid and EV system knowledge
Advanced drivability diagnostic experience

The technician that fits this specific role, would be an Electrical, and Diagnosing expert at their dealership. The person would be the go-to person for all technical diagnosing, and electrical concerns, and tracing of problematic issues with bad wirings, terminals, grounds, and modules.

This person would currently be active in this role, at the dealership level, and strives being “the” Electrical & Diagnosis expert. This role requires this exact experience to qualify.
