Full job description

Cobble Beach is Georgian Bay’s Extraordinary Waterfront Golf Resort Community, with an award-winning 18-hole links style golf course, purpose-built event space, hotel and cottage accommodations, full-service spa and restaurant.

This position is responsible for ensuring operations meet the brand’s target customer needs, ensuring employee satisfaction, focuses on growing revenues and maximizes financial performance. This position will over see the Events Department.

General Responsibilities:

Actively attend networking events, trade shows, and industry functions to promote and sell Cobble Beach as a premier destination for corporate and special events.
Proactively identify and pursue new sales opportunities by reaching out to companies, organizations, and event planners to secure on-site and virtual event bookings.
Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective clients through outbound calls, emails, and online outreach to drive event inquiries and bookings.
Oversees operations of variety of Events (SMERF)
Develop Event packages that will help sell the experience of Cobble Beach based on competitive analysis.
Produce and update both Banquet Event Orders (BEO’s) and event-specific floor plans to ensure communication is upheld with all resort/event stakeholders, and ensure the efficient delivery of events.
Maintain internal event calendars, ensuring all relevant departments have the required details of upcoming events.
Supervise food and beverage porters, banquet, and event staff before, during, and after events, ensuring adherence to house policies and procedures, setup, and closing duties.
Work with the membership to organize league events and social board events
Will be responsible for the administration, forecasting, billing and follow up with regard to all internal and external functions being hosted at the club
Monitors follow up for contracts, deposits and credit authorization
Based on business levels, you will need to assist in all Food and Beverage Execution to ensure our guests have the best experience.
Exceeding Budgets and controlling costs in the Food and Beverage Department.
Work closely with the Golf Department to organize golf groups tee times, room bookings, and food and beverage requirements.
Negotiate room blocks, room rates, function space, food and beverage prices, Inn and spa services within approved departmental booking guidelines. Confirms in writing to the client all group requirements via group sales contract, corporate rate agreement, or catering event order.
Rebooking Golf Groups in year over year and seeking new groups to come to Cobble Beach
Combination of office-based work and on-site presence at events, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
Regular interaction with clients, vendors, and internal departments in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
Use of computers, phones, and event management systems for sales outreach, planning, and coordination.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work flexible hours to meet event and business needs.
Must be present for Events including Weddings, Concours, larger functions over 100 and large golf tournaments to assist in execution.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $55,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
