Job Summary

BOCADO RESTAURANT is a exciting restaurant concept located in Collingwood BOCADO is a true expression of the Mediterranean, and Spanish cuisine through its colourful menu and thoughtful décor.

We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Host/Server Assistant to join our team in delivering exceptional dining experiences. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for hospitality and customer service, ensuring that every guest feels welcomed and well-attended. They will maintain an efficient and organized restaurant through managing guest flow, maximizing seating capacity, and communicating effectively with all employees. Hosts are expected to leave a lasting impression on all guests through their professionalism and meticulous attention to detail.

Responsibilities

Greet guests warmly as they arrive and guide them to their tables.
Effectively manage guest flow to maximize seating capacity
Communicate with Servers, Bartenders and Managers to maintain proper guest flow throughout the restaurant
Maintain cleanliness of the dining area, including bussing tables and resetting them for new guests.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow and timely delivery of orders.
Accurately take reservations and modify guest status in Open Table
Know all table numbers and maintain awareness of which servers are in each section
Uphold food safety standards and ensure compliance with health regulations.
Handle guest inquiries and concerns with professionalism, providing excellent customer service at all times.

Experience

Previous experience in food service or restaurant settings is preferred.
Familiarity with food handling practices and safety regulations is preferred.
Strong communication skills are necessary for effective guest interaction and teamwork.
Ability to remain calm under pressure while working in a fast-paced environment
Organizational skills and ability to multi-task
Strong oral and written communication skills
A passion for providing excellent customer service.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $17.20-$20.00 per hour

Work Location: In person
