Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our culinary team at Camino Taco. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about food preparation, cooking, and delivering exceptional dining experiences. The successful candidate will contribute to the smooth operation of our kitchen by preparing ingredients, cooking dishes, and maintaining high standards of food safety and cleanliness. Prior restaurant or kitchen experience is preferred, but a strong work ethic and enthusiasm for the food industry are essential. This position offers an opportunity to develop culinary skills in a fast-paced environment committed to quality and customer satisfaction.

Duties

Prepare ingredients and assist in meal preparation according to recipes and standards
Cook various dishes with attention to presentation, taste, and quality
Ensure all food handling practices adhere to safety regulations and hygiene standards
Assist with food plating and garnishing for service
Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and kitchen equipment
Follow proper food safety procedures during storage, preparation, and service
Support the kitchen team during busy hours by efficiently managing multiple tasks
Restock ingredients and supplies as needed to ensure smooth kitchen operations

Experience

A Valid Food Handler's Certificate
Familiarity with food preparation, cooking techniques, and meal assembly
Knowledge of food safety standards and proper handling procedures
Experience with serving customers or working in a fast-paced kitchen setting is a plus
Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
Strong attention to detail, organization skills, and a positive attitude towards learning new skills
