Accounting Coordinator

Location: Bouctouche, New Brunswick
Company: Cormier Mechanical Rentals (CMR)

We are seeking a reliable and organized Accounting Coordinator (Full-Cycle Bookkeeper) to manage the day-to-day accounting operations for CMR and JL Cormier Mechanical, two locally owned businesses operating in the Mechanical and Maintenance Services, Equipment Rentals and Transportation industries.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a hands-on business environment and can independently manage accounting functions while working closely with ownership and office administration.

The successful candidate will become the primary accounting person within the organization, supported by other administrative and operations team members.

Responsibilities

Manage full-cycle bookkeeping for two related companies
Accounts payable and accounts receivable
Bank and credit card reconciliations
Payroll processing and payroll remittances
HST/GST filings and government remittances
Maintain accurate financial records and general ledger entries
Prepare monthly financial reports and internal summaries
Track equipment rental invoicing and related customer accounts
Coordinate with external accountants during year-end and tax preparation
Maintain organized digital and paper filing systems
Support general office administration as required

Qualifications

Experience in bookkeeping or accounting administration
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities
Experience with accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, or similar platforms
Comfortable using Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office
Experience in construction, equipment rental, transportation, or mechanical industries is considered an asset
Bilingualism (English/French) is considered an asset
