Full job description

The Kent Regional Services Commission (KRSC) manages residential waste collection contracts for the majority of its territory. This essential service requires exceptional customer service to ensure the smooth running of programs and resident satisfaction.

Tasks and responsibilities

Register for bulky waste collection service;
Check the quality of entries in the booking system;
Provide customer service for residential waste collection issues;
Follow up with collection companies;
Maintain an up-to-date database of incoming calls in connection with the EPP program;
Sell composters and digesters;
Prepare community clean-up supplies for distribution to partners;
Maintain an inventory of Solid Waste department equipment;
Write and send letters to residents, partners and others;
Support Transport Kent Services by occasionally dispatching drive assignments;
Support the Planning Department by providing customer service, collecting payments, and updating records; and
Any other tasks assigned by supervisor.

Working conditions

Starting date: As soon as possible
Permanent full-time position / 35 hours per week Monday to Friday.
Option to work a compressed schedule that includes one paid day off every two weeks.
Workplace: Kent RSC, 104–1 Irving Blvd. Bouctouche, NB
Salary ranging from $48,603 to $65,054 annually, depending on experience.
Benefits according to current policies.

Qualifications

High school diploma.
Post-secondary education in secretarial, office management, or another related field is an asset.
Experience in an administrative field is an asset.
Experience working with the public.
Ability to speak and write both in French and English (mandatory).
The ability to properly handle sensitive data and maintain client confidentiality at all times is essential.
Strong communication skills (oral and written).
Excellent organizational skills.
Strong team spirit and willingness to help one another
Proficiency in Microsoft Office or similar software.
- The employee will be required to travel regularly between the two KRSC offices (Bouctouche and Richibucto) to assist colleagues or attend meetings. Reimbursement per kilometer will be made according to current policies.
